Curriculum

The Morrisville Area School District has developed a ten-year curriculum renewal plan as part of the District's Strategic Plan. It is a three-stage plan for renewal of curriculum, assessment, and instruction, which provides a comprehensive, research-based, and data-driven process for curriculum renewal.

Designing an effective curriculum is a complex and continuous process. The characteristics and knowledge-base of each discipline are constantly changing. Innovative school practices are constantly evolving. Technology is being used to create new forms of learning. One of the goals of the Administrative Curriculum Council is to build in long-term capacity for on-going change to continually improve our curricular and instructional program.

To build an effective curriculum the district has invested appropriate resources and established a district-wide curriculum renewal process. The curriculum renewal process is overseen by the Director of Curriculum.
